At Calxa, trust is at the heart of everything we do. Our customers rely on us to help manage sensitive financial data, support critical decision-making, and deliver secure cloud-based reporting and budgeting solutions. And, this is where ISO 27001 certification fits right in.
ISO 27001 Certification: What Does it Mean for You?
That’s why we’re proud to announce that Calxa has achieved ISO 27001 certification, the internationally recognised standard for Information Security Management Systems (ISMS).

This is the key security standard for online applications. In essence, it gives you additional confidence in the integrity of and robustness of our systems to protect your data. We’ve always worked to keep your data secure and safe. However, now that we have worked through the certification process, it has helped us make our systems and processes more robust. It ensures that we are following best practices.
What is ISO 27001 Certification?
ISO 27001 is the international standard for “implementing, maintaining, and continually improving an Information Security Management System (ISMS) to protect organisational assets”. Certification isn’t a one-off task. As you are no doubt aware, security threats are constantly changing and we are committed to evolving our protections to keep your data safe and secure.
Achieving certification means that an independent auditor has verified that Calxa has implemented and maintains a number of key elements:
- Rigorous controls,
- Processes,
- And governance practices.
These are designed to protect information assets and manage security risks effectively
This isn’t simply a one-time assessment. ISO 27001 requires ongoing monitoring, continual improvement, regular audits, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of information security.
Why Does ISO 27001 Matter to Calxa Customers?
Whether you’re a not-for-profit organisation, accounting firm, business advisor, or commercial business, you trust Calxa with important financial and operational information.
As a result, this ISO 27001 certification provides additional assurance that:
- Information security is managed through a structured and internationally recognised framework.
- Risks are regularly assessed and monitored.
- Security controls are reviewed and continuously improved.
- Processes are in place to help protect customer data and business information.
- Security responsibilities are embedded throughout the organisation.
For customers with their own governance, compliance, or supplier risk assessment requirements, ISO 27001 certification offers independent validation of our commitment to information security.
Prioritising Security – Always
While achieving ISO 27001 certification is a significant milestone, security has always been an important focus for Calxa.
Over the years, we have invested security to protect both our systems and customer information. This has included:
- Secure cloud infrastructure,
- Robust operational processes,
- Extensive staff training,
- Safe access controls,
- And risk management practices.
The certification process provided an opportunity to formally document, validate, and strengthen these practices against an internationally recognised benchmark.
Achieving ISO 27001 certification required collaboration across all areas of the business. Essentially, the process involved everyone from leadership and operations through to product development, customer success and administration. Furthermore, it reflects our shared commitment to maintaining secure, reliable, and trusted services for our customers.
As Calxa continues to grow, we’ll remain focused on providing a great app. Ultimately, this relates not only to powerful budgeting, forecasting, and reporting solutions, but also the security and reliability that organisations expect from a trusted software provider. You can find technical details and documentation on our security policies in the Calxa Trust Centre.
