One Muscle Team at Muscular Dystrophy Association SA (MDASA) is their fundraising arm – they’ve just organised the Big Red Ride and Run to coincide with the Tour Down Under, as well as many other events throughout the year.
The less famous muscle team is in their finance office where Nadelle Manners has been using Calxa to replace their cumbersome spreadsheets with Report Bundles that give each department head and board member the information they need to manage their responsibilities.
In a time of change it’s important that decision-makers have the tools that give them the confidence to take action promptly and Nadelle is busy implementing tools and systems to streamline the finance area, enabling her to provide better reports in less time.
The introduction of the NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) will have a profound effect on MDASA’s members and, if it lives up to its promise, give them much more independence and control over their lives. While the impact of the change is less on MDASA as an organisation than some service providers who are wholly reliant on government funding, it still requires an evaluation of all their systems so that they can provide their members and clients with the services they need. We’re pleased that Calxa is part of that solution – read and hear what Nadelle had to say for yourself.
