We’ve reached the first milestone on our road to giving away $1,000,000 of Calxa Premier to NFPs with 10 organisations now doing their budgets easier. They are a diverse bunch and scattered widely around the country – from the Youth Legal Service in Perth to our neighbours here in Townsville at the North Queensland Women’s Legal Service. Other recipients include Towri MACS in Bathurst, Charlestown Youth & Community Centre, the Jupiter Mossman Community Cooperative Society in Charters Towers, and PALS in Numurkah in Victoria. Melbourne’s Old Treasury Building has new budgeting software (you would expect a Treasury building to use the best budgeting software, wouldn’t you?). Our first donee in Sydney was the Motor Neurone Disease Association of NSW and I’m glad to see that – I did some work with the SA branch for many years when I lived in Adelaide. Port Macquarie has the distinction of being the most popular spot for Calxa DonorTec donations this week with 2 recipients – Aces Inc and the Hastings Home Modification & Maintenance Service. Almost enough to justify us going there for a Calxa Club!
