We’ve worked with Rhys Roberts and his team at Viridity for a long time and love the work they do. As well as helping many of our Small Business and Not-for-Profit clients with on-site Calxa training, they provide a business advisory service, software implementation, bookkeeping and management accounting.
Viridity are Xero Gold Partners and have embraced the flexibility of cloud solutions over the past few years. We love their new video, talking about how they are increasingly using Xero for their client’s needs. Being able to work remotely on clients’ data helps simplify the process and eliminate the need to travel – which is an important factor considering the traffic levels around their North Sydney office at times!
When we spoke to Rhys last year, he had just finished introducing Calxa to some community organisations with great success. “Calxa works really well for smaller not-for-profits who may not have great expertise in-house and have an external board or directors with legal responsibilities for the organisation. They can not only get a budget but a cash flow forecast really easy.” What is commendable is that the Viridity team don’t just deliver figures and reports. “Providing some education to the board especially when you have members without formal accounting qualifications is the key. We try turning the figures into something that makes sense to them.”Rhys is a Calxa Accredited Partner and has helped many of our Calxa users over the years – and not just the Sydney-based ones. He’s got the technology to help clients remotely and is particularly skilled in report customisation. Adapting existing board reports to have the same ‘look and feel’ in Calxa is a challenge Rhys has managed using the Calxa report designer.
Rhys is a great advocate for looking ahead “You can’t change the past but you can change the future – that’s were cashflow forecasting is critical.”
