The app saves time for Businesses, Not-For-Profits and Accountants by automating financial reporting like budgets, cash flow forecasts, KPIs and group consolidations. About the UX / UI Designer
Typically, you will interact with our customers and focus groups to identify and understand user needs and their application. By building your knowledge of user pain-points, you will be able to create new, and enhance existing, interface designs. It is these user preferences that allow you to create wireframes, prototypes and user flows to visualise design concepts that can then be used by software engineers for implementation.
This role will suit an experienced designer with strong interpersonal and communication skills that can present and deliver to relevant stakeholders. Your day will include:
- Collaboration with product management to understand feature requirements
- Conducting user research including interviews, focus groups and user testing
- Evaluation of feedback and conceptualisation of complex user experience problems
- Translation of concepts into wireframes, prototypes and user flows
- Creation of designs using collaborative interface tools
- Maintaining documentation of designs to promote continuity
- Attend and contribute to product related meetings
Real expertise
You are an expert in software design and get involved in all aspects of product useability.
- You are well versed in visual design software (Figma preferred) and have knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript skills.
- Having the necessary technical skills and qualifications will help you promote best practice in web-design.
The result will be evident in customer satisfaction and better adoption of the software by new users.
What is required to succeed
To be successful for this position you will be a tertiary qualified in UX design, Human-computer Interaction, Graphic Design, Computer Science or a similar field. You have at least 3 years’ experience in a similar design role. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with strong interpersonal skills that is not afraid of a challenge. Ultimately, you will demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
- Problem-solving aptitude to address user pain points and enhance user experience
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross functional teams and stakeholders
- Analytical mind with a business acumen to make informed decisions
- Maintain inquisitive state of mind and consider different solutions to solving user problems
- You are super organised and able to multi-task and manage small and big projects simultaneously
- A busy day does not unsettle you, in fact it gives you a kick.
