Updated Calxa Terms
General Data Protection Regulation will take effect from 25 May.
You’ve probably heard this story from dozens of websites and software suppliers lately and it’s all down to the Europeans.
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will affect suppliers who deal with the personal data of anyone in the European Union from 25 May 2018.
Now, while you might not be in the EU, some of our customers are and we think it makes sense to apply the best standards to all Calxa users. So, here are the key points of what has changed.
Improving Transparency and Security
We thought we were reasonably clear before and we’ve always tried to avoid heavy legal jargon, but there’s always room for improvement.
Much of the information we collect isn’t personally identifiable (for example, we know that someone scrolled half way down a page on our website yesterday afternoon, but we don’t know if it was you or someone else). But still, there are ways to turn that off so that you don’t get tracked at all as you move from page to page and that’s the sort of thing the updated policies spell out for you.
Have a read of the new policies and, if you have any concerns, email us and let us know. We’ll be happy to discuss and take whatever action is necessary.
