Getting started: Seven Easy Steps
Watch the short video demos below for some useful lessons in Calxa.
Step 1: Connecting Calxa to your accounting files
The first demo in the series provides information about training and customer support and then gets into the first stages of working with Calxa: registering and activating Calxa on your system and linking up your accounting files.
Step 2: Entering and/or importing budgets into Calxa
Demo 2 shows you how to import a budget from MYOB, MoneyManager, Excel or CSV text files and goes on to explain how to work with those budgets in Calxa, highlighting a number of nifty shortcuts you can use to save time.
Step 3: Creating and customising your reports
Step 3 shows the flexibility and customisation available with Calxa reports. You’ll get an overview of the type of reports and templates to choose from, see how quickly you can create multiple reports by saving a template you have designed yourself, and learn about the flexibility in the look of the reports you create.
Step 4: Tax set up
A quick tour of the tax payment set up you’ll do once and then not have to worry about again.
Step 5: Cashflow settings
The default settings in Calxa’s cashflow worksheets will suit most organisations but if you would like to change some of those settings (schedules or cashflow types), Step 5 will show you how.
Step 6: Cashflow charts and reports
This video outlines one of Calxa’s most important functions: quickly and easily producing charts and reports so you can understand the components of your bank balance and predict the direction of your business.
